The practice of Yoga was the initial step of Chantelle’s journey into Vedic India. After completing her BA in Marketing, she traveled to India in 2008 to study and practice Yoga at the Shivananda Yoga Vedanta Ashram in Rishikesh. She was on a search for a deeper purpose in life and along the way she found Odissi, Classical Indian Dance and instantly fell to her knees.
By 2009, Chantelle moved to Delhi to train under Guru Smt Kasturi Pattanaik in the Guru Shisyha Parampara Tradition for 8 years. Later, she learned from Sharon Lowen and received a Odissi Dance teacher certificate through her senior disciple Silvana Duarte.

Narthaki Style dance
Chantelle created Narthaki Style Dance, a soulful fusion dance format that carefully blends Pan Asian Aesthetics with Middle Eastern and modern movement practices. Rooted in Tradition, Ritual Arts and the embodiment of the Divine.
Narthaki Style Dance explores the cosmology of mythology, the relationship with archetypes, elemental qualities, invoking the unreal to the real, allowing the body to become a vessel for transmutation and transcendence.
Chantelle believes that this fusion format is a full expression of her dance world, creativity and her holistic approach to life.
